Job Summary:
Sterling is seeking a Civil Engineer to support civil design projects within the oil, gas, and chemical industries. This role will focus on site development, grading, drainage, and underground utility design while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality industrial projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, experience in industrial facilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:
  • Prepare civil engineering designs for oil, gas, and chemical plant projects.
  • Develop site development plans, grading plans, and earthwork designs.
  • Perform stormwater management and drainage design calculations.
  • Design underground utility systems, including water, sewer, fire water, and process piping corridors.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and process engineering teams.
  • Assist with project planning, cost estimating, and engineering documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, client specifications, and industry standards.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical support throughout project execution.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company quality procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of civil engineering experience within the oil, gas, or chemical industry.
