As a Civil Engineer Student in an internship or co-op, you'll typically assist with project site inspections, preparing technical drawings, compiling data, and performing basic calculations under the supervision of licensed engineers. You may contribute to the planning and design phases of infrastructure projects, support field survey work, or help with construction inspections to ensure plans are followed. Expect a collaborative environment where you'll work closely with engineering teams, project managers, and sometimes contractors. These hands-on experiences are designed to build your technical and professional skills while giving you practical insight into the civil engineering field.
