  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least eight (8) years of experience in industrial construction projects, structural steel systems, contractor management, and field execution activities.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Able to adjust strategies and approaches to meet changing project needs and challenges.
  • Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
  • Experience in:
    • Structural steel design, fabrication, installation, and inspection.
    • Construction and erection of steel structures in industrial environments.
    • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and managing contractor relations.
    • Quality assurance, safety, and environmental compliance in construction projects.
    • Review of structural drawings, specifications, and contractor submittals.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC departments, to ensure the seamless integration of civil engineering components into the overall project.
  • Interacted with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to monitor construction progress, ensuring civil works were completed on schedule and within scope.
  • Review structural drawings, calculations, shop drawings, and contractor submittals related to steel structures.
  • Review and approve contractor deliverables, ensuring adherence to design specifications, project standards, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify structural steel installations, connections, and construction quality.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections and audits to verify that construction aligns with approved designs, spec
  • Identify and resolve civil engineering-related issues during the construction phase, implementing timely and effective solutions.
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical drawings, construction logs, and regulatory reports, to ensure project transparency and compliance.
  • Lead and participate in quality assurance processes for civil engineering activities, reviewing material specifications and overseeing testing procedures for key construction materials like concrete and steel, while ensuring adherence to quality control standards through comprehensive inspections and installation verification.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental policies, actively contributing to the promotion of a zero-incident workplace.
  • Assist in the development of accurate project budgets and forecasts, monitoring expenditures, proposing cost-saving strategies, and including detailed cost estimates for civil engineering work.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure that civil engineering activities are executed within the established budgetary constraints.
  • Propose and implement cost-saving strategies, ensuring that financial efficiencies are achieved without compromising quality or regulatory compliance.
