Civil Project Engineer


Lead Design. Support Projects. Grow into Leadership.

At LDC, Inc., you will serve as a technical lead on land development projects, supporting design, coordination, and project execution. You will work closely with project managers while supporting team development and contributing to high-quality deliverables that reflect our commitment to Service Above the Standard.

For over 23 years, LDC has delivered high-quality civil engineering solutions across the Pacific Northwest. As we continue to grow, we are seeking engineers who take ownership of their work, build strong technical expertise, and are ready to take the next step toward project leadership.

Position Overview

You will serve as the technical lead on assigned projects, supporting design, coordination, and execution. Youwork closely with project managers to ensure design quality, efficient project execution, and successful delivery.

You will contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, oversee technical work, support project planning, and guide junior staff. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to balance design responsibilities with project coordination.

Reports to: President or Senior Vice President, with direct supervision from Principal Engineers


Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership and Design

  • Lead and perform civil design for site development projects, including:
    • Site grading and roadway design
    • Stormwater conveyance and modeling (quantity and quality)
    • Water and sewer system design
    • TESC system design
  • Support land entitlement and site layout planning
  • Prepare and review plans, specifications, and engineers estimates
  • Ensure design accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable standards


Project Coordination and Support

  • Collaborate with project managers to support project delivery and execution
  • Assist with project scheduling, task management, and coordination
  • Support scope development for proposals, change orders, and project planning
  • Work with technical staff to ensure project budgets and timelines are maintained
  • Coordinate with clients, jurisdictions, and consultants as needed


Team Support and Development

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff
  • Review work for accuracy and provide technical feedback
  • Support team collaboration and knowledge sharing across projects


Skills and Specifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering design and site development
