Job Description

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, licensed Civil Engineer to join our team in applying engineering skills to challenging projects for our Anchorage office.

In this role you will develop strong relationships with our clients and teaming partners through providing comprehensive civil engineering services, from initial feasibility and master planning through design, permitting and construction support. The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator desiring to grow with a multidiscipline engineering team and be willing to have fun!  

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 5 or more years of experience in design development, permitting, and construction assistance in a variety of sectors including oil and gas, military, and public sector projects.
  • Experience with engineering practices within the Alaskan (arctic and sub-arctic) specific climate.
  • Experience in a multi-discipline setting
  • Experience with both urban and rural infrastructure throughout Alaska preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Interest and ability to be or develop into a mentor for more junior engineers
