How will you make your impact?

As the Subject Matter Expert, Civil and Structural Engineering, you will serve as a cornerstone of the Linxon Engineering Team-shaping how we design and deliver critical infrastructure that powers communities, enables renewable integration, and strengthens the energy grid of the future. You will apply your deep technical expertise to execute civil and structural engineering for AIS and GIS substations (11kV-550kV), battery energy storage systems, and renewable energy facilities, ensuring each project is built on a foundation of precision, innovation, and engineering excellence.

In this highly influential individualcontributor role, you will collaborate closely with Project Lead Engineers, BIM Engineers, and Electromechanical Engineers, serving as the technical authority who elevates designs, resolves challenges, and drives bestinclass engineering solutions. Your contributions will directly impact project performance, constructability, safety, and efficiency-positioning Linxon as a leader in delivering complex, highvalue infrastructure across the Americas.

What will you do?

  • Deliver civil and structural design packages that meet technical requirements and support successful execution of substation and energy projects.

  • Introduce innovative, costsaving design improvements that enhance project value.

  • Provide key design inputs-layouts, quantities, grading, drainage, foundations, and steel structures-to strengthen overall project quality.

  • Ensure all designs meet applicable codes and standards to reduce compliance risk.

  • Conduct technical and constructability reviews that minimize rework and improve efficiency.

  • Provide accurate engineering estimates and forecasts to support project planning.

  • Lead and participate in design and hazard reviews to resolve issues early.

  • Support construction teams by addressing field engineering challenges quickly.

  • Coordinate effectively with line managers, engineers, and site teams to maintain alignment and progress.

  • Work with customers, technical assurance, and subcontractors to secure approvals and ensure technical consistency.

Who you are?

  • You have experience in civil and structural design for highvoltage substations or transmission lines; experience with industrial facilities or power plants is a plus.

  • You understand geotechnical investigations, earthworks, grading, and drainage and how they influence project design.

  • You are proficient in structural analysis tools such as STAAD and/or SAP2000.

  • You are skilled in CAD platforms like AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and ideally Revit as well.

  • You bring (or are working toward) a Professional Engineering certification, which is considered an advantage.

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with at least five years of experience, or a master's degree with at least three years of experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,400 to $173,300. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
