Job description

Civil Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Manager to lead and oversee our civil construction projects from inception through completion. This role requires a dynamic professional who can manage complex infrastructure projects while ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and proven leadership skills to coordinate all aspects of civil construction operations, including site development, roadways, utilities, and earthwork projects.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, budgets, and schedules
  • Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and on-site personnel
  • Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycle
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs and identifying potential overruns
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations on all job sites
  • Resolve construction issues and conflicts as they arise, making critical decisions to keep projects on track
  • Schedule and allocate resources, equipment, and materials efficiently
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings and coordinate project logistics
  • Ensure proper permitting and regulatory compliance for all construction activities
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing civil construction projects
  • Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing and interpreting technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and site plans
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing diverse teams
  • Solid understanding of construction safety standards and OSHA requirements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
