Civil Construction Estimator - Site Development
Morrisville, NC

Position Type: Full-Time | On-Site

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to join their growing team in Morrisville, NC. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in site development construction and estimating large-scale civil projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates while collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction and site development projects.

  • Analyze construction plans, specifications, and project requirements.

  • Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.

  • Develop quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.

  • Collaborate with operations and project management teams throughout the bidding process.

  • Review bid documents, contracts, and project scopes.

  • Assist in the development of proposals and supporting documentation for project submissions.

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in the civil construction industry with a focus on site development.

  • Proven experience estimating projects ranging from $5M to $50M.

  • Hands-on experience with the following project scopes:

    • Erosion Control

    • Clearing & Grubbing

    • Grading & Earthwork

    • Underground Utilities

    • Paving

  • Proficiency with AGTEK software.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience preparing construction project budgets and cost estimates.

  • Knowledge of construction specifications and proposal development.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

  • Experience reviewing construction drawings and bid documents.

Position Details

  • Full-time, in-office position located in Morrisville, NC.

  • Remote work is not available.
