Position Overview:
RTX is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Classified Cloud Platform Enablement Leader to direct operations and feature enhancement for enterprise capabilities hosted within classified cloud environments. This position is housed within the Classified Digital Services team within Enterprise Services Risk and Resilience, where the selected candidate will join a highly-functioning team providing enterprise-grade classified cloud capabilities to support programs across RTX.
The selected candidate will begin by executing several capabilities deployment efforts, growing a deployment and sustainment team for application deployment in the cloud across multiple classification levels. The successful candidate will interact with stakeholders at various technical and leadership levels across multiple functional areas within RTX Corporation.
This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the strategic direction for deploying and operating capabilities provided as cloud services, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements at multiple classification levels. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing digital technology services in classified environments and operational experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This hybrid position is based in Richardson, TX or Tewksbury, MA and requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance. The selected candidate will lead the design, automation, and engineering of Azure cloud solutions in highly governed environments. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure Government architecture, cybersecurity controls, infrastructure automation and specific implementation within a cloud landscape. The leader will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple RTX business units and functional organizations and must be able to speak about both technical expectations as well as business value aspects of the enabled services.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead and manage the operational delivery of capabilities deployed on classified cloud environments, scaling across multiple types of applications and services as capabilities evolve.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technical, leadership, and functional roles to align deployed capability operations with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction for deploying and operating of cloud-based capabilities across multiple classification levels.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements and maintain the integrity of classified information systems.
  • Optimize and measure services for cost efficiency through FinOps and other cost management practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for best practices for capabilities hosted within classified cloud environments.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, resource fluctuations, shifting priorities, and roadmap dependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external standards such as NIST 800-53 and CMMC.
  • Work within Agile teams to achieve product goals and deliverables

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 10 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 7 years experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing classified digital technology environments

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Demonstrated experience managing digital technology services for users in classified environments.
  • Operational experience managing cloud services in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Proven experience in leadership at multiple levels
  • Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders across various technical and leadership levels.
  • Experience managing delivery of capabilities hosted within segregated public cloud services to stakeholders
  • Certification in Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
  • Experience as an Information System Owner (ISO) for classified digital technology services
  • Expertise in FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
