Job Summary:
This position will report directly to the coordinator of travel at the Active Adult Center. This position will
assist with the facilitation of day trips including driving and escorting trips for the City of Greeley
Recreation Division.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required, coursework in recreation, education, or a related field preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain in 30 days).
  • Valid Driver's License for 2 years with a clean driving record

OR
  • Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job,

AND
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred:
  • N/A

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Valid Driver's License for 2 years with a clean driving record
  • Capability to drive 14 passenger vans safely, following all traffic laws and City of Greeley Expectations.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Organization skills.
  • CPR, AED & First Aid Certified
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Basic GPS, computer, and software literacy.
  • Customer service experience.

Travel:
  • Category C: Regional Travel: This position requires travel within the immediate area and surrounding region, including areas outside of the immediate city limits. Duties may involve day trips or occasional overnight stays for site visits, training, or interagency collaboration.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide safe transportation for groups in passenger vans.
  • Escort day trips and participate in activities with the group.
  • Responsible that all participants travel safely to and from destination.
  • Assist with the coordination of all day trips.
  • Assist in program evaluations.
  • Enforce policies and procedures.
  • Check work email often.
  • Understand online tickets and ticketing system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisor Duties:
  • N/A

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Work Environment:
  • Regular exposure to various weather driving conditions, including night driving.
  • Driving in different traffic situations. Examples: Downtown Denver, Canyon driving, interstate etc.
  • Workdays may include early mornings, late evenings, as well as weekends.
  • Variable Hour Position: employees are expected to work less no more than 29 hours on average
    per week.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to drive outside of Greeley city limits.
  • Ability to sit long periods of time while driving.
  • Ability to walk long distances on different terrain and weather conditions. Examples: Stadiums, hikes, tours etc.)
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
