Job description

Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality metal parts using stamping machines. You will work either from 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, or from 4:30pm to 4:00am Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Operate stamping machines to produce metal parts.
  • Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gages for precise measurements.
  • Read and interpret work orders and prints accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with the Production Supervisor via intranet, email, telephone, or in-person.
  • Coordinate specific needs with the Material Handler.
  • Report miss-hits or problems to the Production Supervisor.
  • Document labor times and part counts for work orders.
  • Attend the press throughout its operation and troubleshoot issues or malfunctions.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and part inspection.
  • Experience with hand tools, saw operation, drill press, assembly, and injection molding machines.
  • Ability to operate stamping presses and punch presses.
  • Capability to perform machine set up and change over.
  • Experience using tape measures and mechanical tools.
  • Minimum of 2 years of machine operating experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with mics, calipers, and other precision measurement tools.
