Job description

Experienced Automotive Parts Counter-person/Specialist
City Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is seeking a qualified Parts Specialist to join our busy parts team in Brookfield, WI.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain excellent relationships with customers and service personnel.
  • Assist customers with basic product and dealership information over the phone and in-person.
  • Handle all parts telephone inquiries regarding parts purchase
  • Parts distribution to service technicians
  • Accept warranty parts and cores for return
  • Return all warranty parts to factory via proper marking/tagging procedure as dictated by factory
  • Actively identify related parts needed on repair jobs
  • Advise customer or Service Consultant of all parts stocking status
  • Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work required from outside suppliers and get management approval
  • Provide necessary information to the Parts Manager for special orders, emergency purchase, and lost sales
  • Maintain parts in correct locations and bins
  • Keep up to date on all training and certification
  • Responsible for pulling and stocking parts inventory
  • Be responsible for receiving money and cashing out customers
  • Establish good communications between associates in parts and other departments
  • Report any issues to department manager

This is a full-time daytime position with a Saturday rotation based on staffing.
  • CDK, DealerFX, and Xtime experience is very helpful, with strong computer skills are needed.
Requirements:
  • Superior communication and customer service skills.
  • Prior experience in a parts department is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • General business knowledge, experience, and/or training is preferred.
  • Strong record of customer service success is preferred.
  • A professional attitude and attire are essential.
