Description

Purpose:


The individual is responsible for proactively executing integrated sales, service and relationship strategies to support growth and retention of business customers. Develop new business relationships, as well as cross-marketing/needs fulfillment for existing clients.


Essential Functions:

  1. Responsible to develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, professionals and referral sources.
  2. Proactively makes outside calls (separately and jointly with other banking officers) in order to identify new commercial lending and treasury management opportunities that fit within the Bank's risk tolerance and cross-sell other bank products and services.
  3. Promotes and supports loan growth with prospects as well as existing customers. Must be able to explain products, programs, and loan processes, as well as set customer expectations.
  4. Establishes a strong FCNB presence in the market by actively participating in community events and organizations to promote the Bank's visibility and reputation.
  5. Provides strong, and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, clients and prospects.
  6. Closely monitors borrower performance and anticipates changes in risk rating. Proactively identify issues and addresses promptly in order to mitigate potential future risk.
  7. Manages personal pipeline to ensure service standards and financial goals are met.
  8. Works with commercial loan assistant, loan processors, credit analysts and other Bank staff to ensure accurate and complete loan documentation and a seamless customer service experience.
  9. Maintains compliance with all legal and regulatory lending requirements and strictly adheres to internal control policies and procedures.
  10. Maintains compliance to all government regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation E (Electronic Funds), Regulation CC (Funds Availability), CRA and Regulation DD or other policies pertaining to your position.
  11. Assists with collections activity, annual borrower reviews, and site visits, as needed.

Requirements

Qualified candidate will have commercial lending experience and/or formal credit training. Requires a four year college degree in business, finance or a similar business related field or equivalent work experience and/or formal bank training schools and seminars. Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and loan structure preferred, but not required. Strong customer service, analytical and organization skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently and within team setting.
