Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President, Fund Accounting Security Pricing to lead the Security Pricing function across North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of all security valuation activities supporting mutual funds, ETFs, institutional accounts, and alternative investment products. This role provides leadership for pricing operations, valuation governance, vendor oversight, regulatory compliance, and pricing transformation initiatives while ensuring accurate, timely, and controlled valuation of client portfolios. The Vice President will serve as a key partner to Fund Accounting, Risk, Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and client stakeholders while driving operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement across the pricing operating model.

Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the Security Pricing function, aligning with business objectives, client requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on valuation governance, pricing methodologies, and market data strategies across all supported asset classes.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex pricing exceptions, valuation disputes, and market events.
  • Represent the Security Pricing organization in governance forums, client meetings, audits, and senior management discussions.
Security Valuation & Pricing Oversight
  • Oversee daily pricing operations for a broad range of instruments, including: Equities Fixed Income Securities Bank Loans Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) Derivatives Foreign Exchange Instruments Alternative and Private Market Investments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely valuation of securities in support of daily NAV production and financial reporting requirements.
  • Lead oversight of pricing sources, valuation models, and fair value methodologies.
  • Govern pricing exception processes, tolerance reviews, and escalation procedures.
Valuation Governance & Risk Management
  • Maintain a robust control framework supporting pricing accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee valuation governance processes including: Fair Value Committees Pricing Committees Vendor Oversight Programs Valuation Policy Reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including SEC Rule 2a-5 and other global valuation standards.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, and external auditors to support examinations and remediation efforts.
Vendor & Market Data Oversight
  • Manage strategic relationships with pricing and market data vendors, including evaluated pricing providers, exchanges, and reference data sources.
  • Oversee vendor due diligence, service reviews, performance monitoring, and pricing challenge processes.
  • Evaluate new data sources and technologies to enhance valuation coverage, accuracy, and resiliency.
  • Drive consistency in pricing practices across asset classes and client portfolios.
Operational Excellence & Transformation
  • Lead initiatives to modernize pricing infrastructure, workflows, and data management capabilities.
  • Drive automation and straight-through processing opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Partner with Technology and Product teams to implement strategic pricing platforms, valuation tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, service level agreements, and operational metrics.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of pricing professionals and managers.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Build organizational capabilities through succession planning, talent development, and effective workforce management.
  • Establish clear performance objectives aligned with business priorities.
Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including: Fund Accounting Portfolio Management Risk Management Product Development Technology Compliance External Clients.
  • Communicate valuation impacts, pricing trends, and key risk indicators to senior leadership and clients.
  • Support new business opportunities, client onboarding activities, and complex product launches.
Required Experience
  • 5 – 10 years of experience in Security Pricing, Fund Accounting, Valuation, Market Data, or Asset Servicing.
  • Significant management experience leading pricing, valuation, or fund accounting teams.
  • Deep understanding of NAV production, valuation governance, and investment operations.
Technical Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of: Fixed Income Valuation Equity Pricing Derivative Valuation Fair Value Methodologies Market Data Management Pricing Vendor Oversight Experience with major pricing providers such as ICE, Bloomberg, S&P Global, LSEG, PricingDirect, or similar.
  • Knowledge of accounting and regulatory frameworks governing investment funds.
  • Knowledge of FIS (InvestOne) and Multifonds accounting platforms a plus.
