Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Network Engineer/Technical Network Lead with strong hands-on experience in Viptela SD-WAN, Cisco Wireless (Catalyst 9800), and Enterprise LAN/WAN environments. The role requires deep expertise in routing, switching, and wireless technologies, with the ability to handle complex incidents, drive root cause analysis, and support large-scale enterprise network operations. The candidate should also demonstrate strong ownership, proactive troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Operations & Support

Act as L3 escalation point for critical network incidents (P1/P2 issues).
Troubleshoot complex issues across WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and Wireless networks.
Ensure quick restoration of services (RTS) within SLA targets.
Provide advanced troubleshooting for:

Viptela SD-WAN fabric (Control/Data plane issues)
Cisco LAN switching (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel)
Cisco Wireless (Catalyst 9800 WLC, AP onboarding, policy tags)
WAN circuits and routing instability

SD-WAN & WAN Management

Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Viptela SD-WAN (vManage, vEdge/cEdge).
Handle: Overlay/underlay routing integration
Policy-based routing & application-aware policies
VPN segmentation and secure connectivity

Troubleshoot WAN issues such as:

Packet loss, latency, circuit flaps, routing issues, Routing & Switching Expertise

Strong hands-on experience with: BGP (IBGP/EBGP), OSPF
Route redistribution, route-maps, prefix-lists

Deep knowledge of: Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), RSTP, BPDU Guard, Root Guard, Loop prevention

Expertise in: VLAN design, inter-VLAN routing, EtherChannel configuration and troubleshooting

Wireless Network (Cisco 9800), Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers:

WLAN, Policy, Site, and RF profiles, AP provisioning (DHCP Option 43 / DNS)
HA-SSO configuration and failover validation

Diagnose wireless issues:

Client connectivity, roaming issues, RF interference, Incident & Problem Management

Lead Major Incident Management (MIM) calls and technical bridges.
Drive end-to-end ownership of incidents until closure.
Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
Ensure compliance with:

Proactive Problem Management - Analysis and Identify chronic issues in Network Infra and suggest improvements 

SLA / KPI targets
Incident documentation and reporting standards

Change Activities

Support and execute:

Network migrations (LAN/WAN/Wireless/SD-WAN)
Technology upgrades and refreshes

As-built documentation and SOPs

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Coordinate with ISPs, OEM vendors, and internal teams

Provide technical updates to client stakeholders
Participate in client calls, reviews, and audits

Tools & Platforms

ServiceNow (or equivalent ITSM tools)
Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Thousand Eyes – good to have)

Automation knowledge Python/Ansible (good to have)

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering / computer science (or equivalent)
10–15 years of experience in Enterprise Network Operations

Relevant certifications preferred:

CCNP / CCIE (Routing & Switching / Enterprise)
Cisco Viptela SD-WAN certification
