Job description

Data Intelligence, LLC is seeking a skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support a top-tier federal client engaged in national security and counterterrorism operations. This full-time position, based in Vienna, VA, plays a critical role in securing complex IT systems in a high-visibility, mission-driven environment. The selected candidate will work closely with government and contractor stakeholders to ensure compliance, manage risk, and defend against evolving cyber threats. Key Responsibilities: * Support system security planning, implementation, management, and maintenance in accordance with federal cybersecurity standards and requirements. * Ensure compliance with agency security policies, FISMA, and other applicable regulations. * Monitor and manage security controls and respond to cybersecurity incidents and events. * Conduct system risk assessments and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. * Maintain and update system security plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and other security documentation. * Coordinate with stakeholders on A&A activities and provide continuous monitoring of system security postures. Required Experience: * Minimum of five (5) years of ISSO experience * Demonstrated working in a 24/7 operational environment * Demonstrated expertise in systems security requirements and policy * Demonstrated expertise in incident response and management * Demonstrated experience and knowledge with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Control * Demonstrated expertise in the use of threat monitoring platforms * Demonstrated experience and knowledge of security technologies, tools, and methodologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM systems) * Demonstrated experience and knowledge with network protocols and architecture * Demonstrated experience and knowledge with data encryption techniques and key management practices * Demonstrated experience and knowledge with compliance requirements (FISMA) * Demonstrated experience and knowledge with operating systems (e.g., Windows and Linux) and their security features * Demonstrated experience and knowledge with designing and implementing internal security policies, agency standards, and procedures * Demonstrated experience and knowledge with risk assessment and management techniques * Demonstrated experience and knowledge with configuring and managing security tools and systems Required Certifications (One or more): * CISSP * CISSO * CISM * CISA Security Clearance: * Top Secret / SCI with CI Polygraph Why Join Data Intelligence, LLC: Join a mission-driven team where your cybersecurity expertise directly supports U.S. national security.
