Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric PACU or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit experience
  • Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
  • BLS and PALS certification from AHA only
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • Acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted
  • Trauma Level I experience required
  • Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
  • Willingness to float as needed
Responsibilities
  • Provide independent peri-anesthetic management for complex pediatric surgical and procedural patients
  • Deliver high-quality PACU nursing care for inpatient and outpatient pediatric populations
  • Monitor recovery status, airway function, pain levels, circulation, and discharge readiness
  • Support a varied case load while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and excellent clinical outcomes
  • Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and pediatric healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Respond appropriately to telemetry findings and follow unit protocols
  • Adapt to flexible night scheduling and unit needs as assigned
