What you'll be doing
What you'll be doing
  • Wash, clean, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, kitchen utensils, and Food & Beverage equipment.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization across kitchens, dish areas, storage rooms, banquet spaces, and back-of-house operations.

  • Support kitchen and banquet teams by ensuring clean equipment and supplies are available throughout service periods.

  • Assist with waste removal, recycling, floor cleaning, deep cleaning tasks, and maintaining sanitation standards across Food & Beverage operations.

  • Operate dishwashing machines and stewarding equipment safely and effectively.

  • Follow food safety regulations, sanitation standards, HACCP guidelines, OSHA requirements, and hotel safety procedures at all times.

  • Help organize and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and banquet equipment properly.

  • Assist with banquet setup and breakdown support as needed for meetings, events, weddings, and catering functions.

  • Monitor cleaning supply levels and communicate inventory or maintenance needs to leadership.

  • Support a clean, safe, organized, and efficient kitchen environment for culinary and Food & Beverage teams.

  • Work collaboratively with Culinary, Banquets, and Food & Beverage teams to support smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction.

  • Help create a positive and team-oriented workplace aligned with Sonesta's People People culture.

  • Any other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous stewarding, dishwashing, kitchen, restaurant, banquet, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality and kitchen environment.

  • Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and safety standards.

  • Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and stewarding tools safely and effectively.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive, service-focused attitude.
