Albyn Hospitalin Aberdeenis part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwidenetwork of hospitals & clinics,performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff.

This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern, including evening and weekend shifts.

Duties of this role include:

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.

  • Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.

  • Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.

  • Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).

  • Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids.

  • Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds, and equipment in readiness for patient use.

  • Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.

  • Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.

  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.

  • Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality procedures.
