You should be equally comfortable developing concepts, capturing stunning visuals, collaborating with talent, and crafting polished final products that stand out in a competitive media landscape. • Collaborate with Creative Services leadership, newsroom personnel, talent, and station partners to bring concepts to life.
  • Create compelling edits that combine strong storytelling, pacing, sound design, graphics, and motion elements.
  • Design and animate motion graphics, titles, and visual effects that enhance production value.
  • Manage projects from concept through delivery while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Troubleshoot production and post-production challenges efficiently in fast-paced environments.
  • Contribute innovative ideas that continually raise the creative standard of the department.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional videography, cinematography, production, or creative marketing experience.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud workflows.
  • Strong understanding of composition, camera movement, lighting techniques, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience operating professional cinema camera systems, including Canon Cinema cameras and similar platforms.
  • Experience using gimbal and stabilization systems, including DJI Ronin platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a creative team culture.
  • In-person attendance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Adobe After Effects and motion graphics expertise.
  • Professional still photography experience.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Experience directing on-camera talent and conducting promotional shoots.
  • Broadcast television, agency, production company, or brand marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of color correction, audio post-production, and cinematic finishing workflows.

Why Join WXII 12?

  • Create meaningful work that reaches and impacts hundreds of thousands of viewers.
  • Work with award-winning journalists and creative professionals.
  • Access professional-grade production equipment and industry-leading technology.
  • Be part of Hearst Television, one of the nation's most respected media companies.
  • Have the creative freedom to develop fresh ideas and help shape the future of a trusted local brand.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, transport, and operate professional production equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • A valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to work in studio, field, and remote production environments.

Applicants should submit a demo reel showcasing cinematic storytelling, promotional work, branded content, or documentary-style production.
