As a Mechanical Assembly Technician with The Modal Shop, you will complete mechanical assembly of TMS products, basic wiring and panel layout; performs maintenance tasks, performs integration and repairs; following both written and verbal instructions. Works with mechanical tools and electrical test equipment, such as meters, shakers and test chambers. Generates and updates as built documentation. Ensures compliance with and supports continuous improvement of the MSQS system. Supports The Modal Shop’s goal of Total Customer Satisfaction by performing the following job duties in a timely and accurate fashion.
Additional Duties:
  • Performing mechanical and electrical assembly and testing of components for TMS products.
  • Completes builds and testing by following established written procedures; follows steps on the product job router, writes legibly, signs and dates router when steps are completed.
  • Ensuring all products meet established test and/or calibration specifications and notifies the Team Leader when they do not.
  • Understanding and using proper ESD procedures as outlined in the ESD procedure.
  • Observing all safety precautions per department guidelines when operating test equipment, and following all safety rules and keeping area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: One to three years experience in mechanical assembly and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates in MET or equivalent preferred. Sound and vibration equipment assembly experience preferred. Soldering experience preferred.
