Position Summary
This is a full-time position with day-to-day duties that include providing project oversight in an Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene setting. Candidates must possess their Certification in Industrial Hygiene (CIH). All applicants will be verified for active certifications before progressing to the next step of the interview process. You will be responding to client requests for proposals, developing new clients/opportunities, pursuing strategic initiatives, supervising and mentoring junior staff, and performing industrial hygiene work, including worker exposure assessments, health and safety audits, indoor air quality assessments, moisture intrusion and mold assessments, source and ambient air quality testing, and litigation support. Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
  • Consults with clients, preparing, soliciting, and marketing proposals for billable work.
  • Initiates and creates programs for clients to recognize, eliminate, and control occupational health hazards and diseases.
  • Conducts evaluations of chemical, physical, and biological hazards.
  • Collects samples of dust, gases, vapors, and other potentially toxic materials for analysis.
  • Investigates adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, and other conditions that may affect employee health, comfort, or efficiency.
  • Creates and presents reports regarding the work environment.
  • Recommends precautions and corrective actions that should be taken in response to identified hazards.
  • Facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OSHA) guidelines.
  • Preparing written reports and submitting deliverables to clients.
  • Assists in the development of operating procedures and service lines.
  • Provides the Accounting Department with all necessary information to bill for projects.
  • Develops and mentors the staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience
  • 7 or more years of professional Industrial Hygiene experience in consulting services or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of prior supervisory experience.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in core science (e.g., chemistry, biology, etc.) or equivalent
  • CIH is required.
  • CSP is preferred.

Wage: Salary Range: $115,000 to $150,000
Travel: Up to 70% of travel
