Job description

Cigna-Evernorth Services, Inc. seeks an Application Development Senior Advisor for the Atlanta, GA location as a full stack engineer responsible for end-to-end application development.

Responsibilities:

Design & develop modern, scalable, N-tier enterprise applications.

Work directly with partner IT and business teams and drive major deliverables across all aspects of design and software delivery.

Provides guidance to teams on frameworks, patterns, best practices, and approved technologies, tools, and solutions.

Design and develop modern, scalable, and architecturally-sound components and applications.

Promotes better development and architecture practices, patterns, and documentation.

Participates in code reviews to ensure code quality.

Collaborate with other software engineers, domain experts, and end-users to build solutions that address business needs.

Use understanding of future business needs to create a technical strategy.

Work closely with management and provide continuous feedback on overall technical improvements and innovations.

Work closely with PVS team to ensure application performance standards are met and optimize performance metrics.

Evaluate and prioritize business team requests.

Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business alignment with team, leadership chain, and customers.

Contribute to the overall Digital strategy.

Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computers or Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in any full-stack development role.

Will accept a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.

Must have experience with: interactive web application development;

Backend experience including services development;

Application performance tuning;

Designing technical solutions using object-oriented concepts and microservice design patterns;

Designing software for scalability, reliability, and performance;

Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability;

Cloud based distributed software architecture and design;

Java; J2EE; Angular; Spring Boot; AWS; OpenShift; Kubernetes; Docker; Kafka; SAFe methodology; SCRUM methodology; test automation framework; and,

Use of mocking frameworks.
