PHC Technician
“Learn how to care for trees and shrubs through hands-on treatment applications.”

This role focuses on applying treatments that protect trees and shrubs from insects and disease, and provides nutrition through fertilization.
It’s a great fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys outdoor work
  • May have lawn care or landscape application experience
  • Likes the idea of a seasonal role
  • Prefers active, independent workdays

What You’ll Do

  • Apply plant health treatments using spray equipment and soil injection tools
  • Monitor properties for signs of insects, disease, or stress
  • Interact professionally with clients on-site
  • Maintain clean, organized equipment and vehicles
  • Complete required paperwork

What You’ll Learn

  • Safe and proper use of PHC equipment
  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles
  • How to identify common tree and shrub species
  • Recognition of common regional insect and disease issues
  • How to earn your Massachusetts Pesticide Applicators License
