Position Summary
Leaf Restaurant & Bar is seeking a Line Prep Cook who takes pride in staying organized, keeping ingredients fresh and ready, and helping the kitchen run smoothly. This role plays an important part in setting the team up for success by making sure prep is done right, stations are stocked, and the foundation for great food is in place before service begins. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality, consistency, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare salads, cold dishes, dressings, garnishes, and other assigned prep items according to recipe, portion, and presentation standards.
  • Wash, cut, portion, and organize ingredients needed for daily service with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Keep the prep station stocked, clean, organized, and service-ready before, during, and after each shift.
  • Follow all food safety, labeling, dating, storage, rotation, and temperature-control standards.
  • Monitor prep needs, support par levels, and communicate shortages or quality concerns to kitchen leadership.
  • Help maintain kitchen readiness, product freshness, and overall back-of-house execution in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous prep cook, pantry, garde manger, cold station, or similar experience preferred
  • Basic knife skills and working knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safe kitchen practices required
  • Culinary training or ServSafe is required
  • Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and prep procedures with consistency
  • Strong organization, dependability, and attention to detail required
  • Ability to work efficiently during peak service periods and adapt to changing needs
Schedule/Work Environment
This is a part-time, on-site position based at Leaf Restaurant & Bar in Easton, PA. Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and peak-volume events is required. This role works in an active restaurant, bar, and cigar lounge environment and includes extended standing and walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., and regular exposure to smoke, noise, and high guest traffic.
