Responsibilities
  • Work throughout the software development life cycle to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement, and validate applications
  • Analyze existing applications and formulate logic for new applications, procedures, flowcharts, coding, and debugging programs
  • Participate in all software development life cycle phases using Agile Scrum methodology
  • Design, create, and deliver moderately complex program specifications across multiple projects and issues
  • Analyze, modify, and develop complex code and unit tests; create application documentation
  • Advise leadership on application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, compliance, and data accuracy
  • Perform and advise on testing and validation requirements; address code deficiencies and propose systemic solutions
  • Work within an Agile Scrum team to design and deliver products iteratively
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, screen mock-ups, and flow diagrams
  • Gather and verify non-functional requirements; review architectures and designs; ensure standards adherence
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and maintain project and system documentation
  • Advocate for development priorities, challenge scope creep, and negotiate timelines with the product owner
  • Participate in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions, and vendor partnership teams
  • Apply knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance
  • Develop resource estimates and recommend billable hours for complex initiatives
  • Assist with on-the-job training and advise software engineers
Requirements
  • Position is only open to work in the Columbus or Atlanta, GA office
  • Candidates must currently live locally in the area to be considered
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States (or applicable country) on a full-time basis without current or future immigration sponsorship
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field
  • Typically minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data
  • Advanced knowledge and use of two or more opposing front/back-end languages or technologies
  • Experience with two or more modern enterprise programming languages
  • Experience working with various APIs and external services
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • COBOL, IMS, and DB2 required
  • Experience with IBM Rational Tools preferred
  • TS2 experience highly preferred
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology and associated project artifacts
  • Knowledge of Mainframe, CICS, DB2, IMS, and File Manager
  • Ability to collaborate within a mixed team of developers, analysts, and product owners
  • Ability to analyze problems, organize thoughts, and recommend approaches
