EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree of Science
  • Experience
    3 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or
    2 years of experience in epidemiology, research or infectious disease along with Master's Degree or
    No experience required with active RN license in the State of Texas or eligible for reciprocity
  • Licenses and Certifications
    (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Certification through a course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Preferred
  • Licenses and Certifications
    (CIC) Cert in Infection Cntrl strongly preferred

JOB DUTIES
  • Infection control surveillance for the University Hospitals.
  • Ensure compliance with CDC guidelines through active education of staff as well as on-site monitoring.
  • Review medical records & consult with staff & physicians regarding potential infection control concerns.
  • Data entry and review.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
