Job description

Monitors and investigates known or suspected sources of infections in order to determine the source and ensure control. Submits required reporting to local and state health departments. Reviews sterilization and disinfection techniques and recommends changes as needed. Provides related education to staff. Conducts environment of care rounding to ensure appropriate infection control guidelines are being followed. Prepares simple cultures as needed for environmental and individual studies. Nursing or Clinical Laboratory degree highly recommended or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
