Facility Security Officer / Personnel Security Officer

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Salary: $175,000–$185,000 base, plus bonus eligibility
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI

A confidential opportunity is available for an experienced Facility Security Officer / Personnel Security Officer to support classified Intelligence Community and Department of Defense contracts.

This role is responsible for day-to-day administration of an Industrial Security Program, including facility security, personnel security, classified contract compliance, security systems administration, inspections, and coordination with internal teams and government security representatives.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the appointed Facility Security Officer.

  • Administer the company’s facility clearance.

  • Maintain compliance with NISPOM, DCSA guidance, Intelligence Community requirements, SEADs, ICDs, and customer-specific security directives.

  • Manage personnel security actions, including clearances, SCI nominations, polygraph requests, indoctrinations, debriefings, and security records.

  • Coordinate classified visits, visit authorizations, security briefings, classified meetings, and annual refresher training.

  • Support DD254 implementation, classified onboarding, proposal security requirements, subcontractor coordination, and customer security meetings.

  • Maintain information in systems such as DISS, NISS, NBIS, customer-specific systems, and visit request systems.

  • Support government security inspections, assessments, documentation, and corrective actions.

  • Advise leadership on security risks, compliance posture, process improvements, and security program health.

Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • U.S. citizenship.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years supporting Industrial Security programs.

  • 5+ years serving as an FSO or Assistant FSO.

  • Strong knowledge of NISPOM requirements.

  • Experience supporting classified Intelligence Community contracts.

  • Experience using DISS, NISS, and other government security systems.

  • Experience processing personnel security actions.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of DCSA FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum.

  • Experience supporting NSA, NGA, CIA, or other IC customers.

  • Experience with SCI facilities or SAP security requirements.

  • Experience supporting Insider Threat programs.

  • Experience with CMMC compliance.

  • Experience with classified proposal development.

  • Experience supporting multiple cleared facilities.

  • Security certifications such as ISP, CPP, PSP, SFPC, or similar.
