CIA civilians are employees of the Central Intelligence Agency who work in various non-military roles to support the Agency's mission. They perform a wide range of tasks including intelligence analysis, operations, technology, logistics, and administrative support. Unlike covert field officers, many CIA civilians work at CIA headquarters or other facilities, contributing their expertise to national security efforts. They are essential to the functioning of the agency and often possess specialized skills in languages, science, cybersecurity, or data analysis. CIA civilians are subject to rigorous security clearance processes and must maintain strict confidentiality about their work.
