What is a church superintendent?

A Church Superintendent is a leader responsible for overseeing multiple churches or congregations within a specific district or region, especially within certain Christian denominations. They provide guidance to pastors, ensure that church policies are followed, and support the mission and vision of the organization. Superintendents often coordinate training, manage administrative tasks, and serve as a liaison between the local churches and the denominational leadership. To thrive as a Church Superintendent, you need strong leadership, organizational, and administrative skills, often supported by a background in theology or church management.
