Job description

Position Type: Full-Time & Part-Time
Locations: Norcross, Hamilton Mill, and Midtown Campuses

We are seeking professional, customer-focused Safety Officers to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for church staff, members, volunteers, guests, and visitors across multiple church campuses.
Safety Officers serve as the first line of safety and security by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring property, responding to incidents, assisting visitors, and supporting church events. Officers are expected to demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and a servant-minded approach while preserving a safe place of worship.
Officers may be assigned to any campus, shift, or schedule based on operational needs. Flexibility is highly preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide a highly visible security presence throughout assigned campus.
  • Patrol church buildings, parking lots, and surrounding property.
  • Welcome members and guests while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violations.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, medical incidents, disturbances, and security concerns.
  • Assist with traffic flow and parking during worship services and special events.
  • Complete accurate incident, activity, and daily reports.
  • Work collaboratively with church leadership, staff, volunteers, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
  • Enforce church policies in a professional, respectful, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in all situations.
Please Note: Shift assignments, work locations, and schedules are based on staffing and operational needs. Employees may be assigned to work at any church campus and may be required to work weekends, evenings, holidays, or special events.
Requirements
Unarmed Safety Officers
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • GA 24 Hour Unarmed Guard Certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required company training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
Armed Safety Officers
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm.
  • Successful completion of all company-required firearms qualifications and training in accordance with applicable Georgia laws and company policies.
  • GA 24 Hour Unarmed Guard Certification
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
  • Previous military, law enforcement, corrections, or security experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
