Position Overview:
The Regional Missions Director is responsible for engaging and implementing the strategy and structure for missions mobilization at their assigned campuses. This includes engaging with life groups, leading local serving initiatives, mission trip recruitment, and mission-led all-church events. The role requires an individual who can effectively recruit, train, and oversee volunteer teams, ensuring strong engagement in missions efforts both locally, nationally, and globally.
What you'll do:
Campus Specific Responsibilities
  • Provide missions leadership to multiple campuses by guiding each campus in effectively implementing the Pray, Give, Go strategy
  • Work in partnership with the Missions Mobilization Pastor to bring the missions strategy effectively to each campus
  • Collaborate closely with your assigned Campus Pastor to engage and mobilize the congregation, leading and facilitating opportunities for service beyond the walls of the church
  • Commit to serving the majority of your week at your assigned campuses and dedicate the remaining hours to the Central Campus in Rockwall, Texas
  • Be present at your assigned campus for weekends as needed for missions emphasis
  • Partner with your campus Groups Pastors to recruit, train, develop, and oversee Life Group Mission Leads
  • Recruit and equip volunteer coaches on your campuses to support targeted missions and ministry initatives
  • Assist with the recruitment of mission trip leaders and participants
  • Support campus teams with all multisite campus blessing plays and Annual Missions Offering initiatives
  • Lead and manage the campus outreach strategy, coordinating individuals and life groups as they serve the local community
  • Oversee the campus benevolence process

Volunteer Leadership & Team Development
  • Recruit, train, and oversee key mission leadership roles to build and sustain volunteer teams
    • Local Serving Coach- leads campus-based local serving initiatives
    • Groups Mission Lead Coach- supports mission engagement within life groups
    • Mission Trip Coach- helps promote mission trip awareness and sign-up

Missions Central Team Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for assigned LP Missions-operated ministries
  • Contribute to the mission trip experience, including retirement and leadership support
  • Play a leadership role in mission-led all-campus events

Skills & Experience you've had:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as theology, social work, or nonprofit management or commensurate experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in community outreach or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of and passion for local community outreach and missions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of individuals and groups
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to lead and motivate volunteers, as well as to work collaboratively with other church leaders and staff members
