PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To help build, grow, and strengthen the Connection Department and its volunteers.


EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

DUTIES:

Welcome Team
Actively build the Welcome Team to help execute Sunday morning services
Ensure excellence in the atrium on Sundays in a way that promotes connection and community
Work to minimize distractions from the Sunday experience
Lead the Welcome Team Leadership Team and Sunday Serve Team
Ensure all teams are well staffed with capable volunteers through Planning Center
Take note of Sunday observations and share with leadership during debriefs
Lead weekly Connection Team meetings at campus
Deliver items from Central to North Campus, such as Top 5, envelopes, and other needed materials
Oversee atrium decor and layout, working alongside the Experience Team as needed


Workflows/New Here / New Life

Manage onboarding for all volunteers who come through Connect Dinner, New Here cards, the online portal, or the website
Run background checks for all potential Serve Team members
Create and maintain processes for Serve Team onboarding
Communicate with ministry leads through Planning Center workflows regarding new team members
Carry out and manage the connection process
Build systems and leaders that facilitate growth within all Connection areas

Message all New Here and New Life individuals
Answer all text messages from Sunday text questions
Add individuals to Planning Center and appropriate workflows


Meetings/Other:
Attend weekly staff meetings
Attend weekly one-on-one meetings with connection personnel and manager

Meet with campus pastor and campus team as requested
Oversee the spiritual development of teams by communicating devotional material to Welcome Team leadership on a weekly basis
Other duties as assigned
Flagship event roles are subject to change from event to event and will be communicated to each staff member after approval from their executive oversight at an appropriate time


Connect Dinner/Water Baptisms
Lead and execute all Connect Dinners at North Campus
Send all communication and reminders for Connect Dinner

Lead and execute baptism Sundays at North Campus
Communicate clearly with the team in preparation for baptisms


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. (up to several consecutive hours)
  • Ability to pick up 25lbs

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside all connection team volunteers

WEEKLY SCHEDULE*:

Monday: 9:00am - 4:30pm

Tuesday: OFF

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday: 9:00am - 4:30pm

Friday: OFF

Saturday: OFF

Sunday: 7:00am - 2:00pm
