The Business Account Manager, Digital Chromatography Solutions is responsible for driving the growth phase of our new chromatography data management & analysis platform, Genedata Chromatics. Chromatics captures experimental data from chromatography instruments, automates analysis, validates results, and consolidates insights from chromatography runs across the enterprise to power project decisions and lay the foundation for AI-driven drug discovery and development.

This position reports to the Global Manager, Genedata Chromatics Business and is part of the Genedata Chromatics team located in Lexington, MA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events. Connect with biopharmaceutical scientists, IT professionals and R&D Managers to understand their needs and raise awareness of Genedata Chromatics
  • Actively identify opportunities by uncovering critical needs around chromatography data analysis and management
  • Drive business and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closure: conduct outreach, qualify prospects, manage software demonstrations (with the professional services team), communicate proposals, build value, negotiate and close deals
  • Manage active accounts - build trusted relationships to become the preferred partner for your clients, understand customer situation and scientific, technical, and business needs, manage software renewals and retain customers, expand licenses, develop opportunities for paid projects
  • Interact with professional services, product management, marketing and other teams to identify and build opportunities and sell software and services

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • BSc or MSc or PhD Degree in a Life Sciences discipline
  • At least 2 years' experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in B2B related to the life science industry, preferably in software sales
  • Familiarity with drug discovery processes and willingness to take initiative, excellent planning, organization and time management skills
  • Must be currently located in the U.S. and legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires 20% travel within North America on a regular basis and occasional international travel.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Hands-on chromatography experience, including data analysis

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $90,000-$120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
