Timberline Landscaping LLC. is an award-winning company serving Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas, "Creating a Little Bit of Heaven" for over 40 years. We offer a full range of services - landscape design, construction, and maintenance.
If you enjoy working with your hands and spending your working days outdoor consider a career as an Irrigation Technician! This position performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of complex irrigation systems.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation related problems
• Maintain and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems
• Maintain job records, complete work orders, and customer billing
• Start up and winterize irrigation systems
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and service vans
• All team members help and support other departments when necessary, including snow removal and Christmas decor
• Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Working outside in all temperatures and weather conditions
• Requires bending, stooping, reaching, walking and lifting especially when maintaining in-ground irrigation systems
• Comfort with and have physical and manual dexterity to operate heavy equipment and use of digging tools (backhoes, dump trucks, front end loaders, small and large trenchers, shovels, augers)
• Exposure to dust, grease, noise and chemical vapors - PPE is provided
• Ability to move and/or lift 50 lbs. and ask for help for heavier items
Requirements
• 2-5 years of experience in irrigation
• Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must have knowledge of
o Install/ repair pipe including PVC, copper, and poly
o Basic head repair and adjust
o Valve operation and repair
o Copper soldering
o Basic controller programing and operation
o Electrical troubleshooting including multimeter, toner, locator, and clump meter
o Sensor operation and installation
o Back flow including codes, operation, and repair
o Basic hydraulic principles (flow and pressure)
• Maintains positive client relations and answers on-site client questions
• Demonstrates dependability and efficient work practices
• Keeps current with emerging industry trends through continued education (CE) requirements
• Willingness to help and support other departments when necessary
  • Must have a smartphone with the ability to download and use mobile apps
  • Maintain a professional appearance, including personal hygiene and grooming, to represent the company in the best possible way

Desired:
• Landscape Industry Certified in Softscape (commercial) or Hardscape (residential) a plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
