REQUIREMENTS:

  • Spiritual Leadership: Models Christian maturity and discipleship.
  • Instructional Excellence: Designs effective, engaging lessons rooted in best practices.
  • Relational Wisdom: Builds positive, respectful relationships with students and families.
  • Servant Leadership: Demonstrates humility, teamwork, and a willingness to support school needs.
  • Adaptability: Responds with grace and creativity to the dynamic nature of upper elementary and middle school life.
  • Bachelor's of Arts degree
  • Washington State teacher credential (required)
  • Immunization Records or waiver (must include MMR, antibody titer labs, or exemption documents)

JOB DUTIES:

  • Integrate Biblical worldview into daily lessons, classroom discussions, and interactions, helping students see God’s truth in every subject.
  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction that meets curriculum and state standards and supports diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Cultivate a safe, respectful, and joyful classroom culture where students feel valued and encouraged to grow academically and spiritually.
  • Lead students in prayer, devotionals, and spiritual reflection, fostering habits of faith and discipleship.
  • Partner with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
  • Prepare and organize materials and classrooms for class activities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Positively support the school's policies and practices and work collaboratively in a professional organization.
  • Build partnerships with parents through proactive communication.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children while adapting teaching methods and materials to meet varying student interests.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and administrators.
