Registered Nurse

Job Description

Description: 

Cares for and treats patients in the clinic, as directed by the Medical Director’s Standing Orders and within the scope of practice outlined by the Georgia’s State Board of Nursing and the ANA Code of Ethics, by performing the following duties: 

Responsibilities:  

• Conducts intakes and assesses patient needs and make nursing judgments that reflect safe nurse practices
• Administers pregnancy tests and performs in clinic testing and procedures such as IV therapy, administer medications, phlebotomy, and STD testing.
• Provide Patient Education.
• Oversight of instrument cleaning and maintaining adequate medical supply stock 
• Conducts specified laboratory tests as directed by the Medical Director’s Standing Orders.
• Monitor and address patient questions sent via text platform 
• Can perform limited obstetric ultrasounds, if trained, based on the direction of the standing orders from the Medical Director and on AWHONN guidelines.
• Maintains accurate patient records under the supervision of the Medical Director & Nurse Manager
• Attends medical conferences that offer professional training and information pertinent to the center’s practices to meet State CME requirements.
• Maintains FDA Recalls and Updates
• Responsible for reading and implementing the Medical Policy and Procedure Manual. 
• Responsible for maintaining logs including but not limited to:
  • Infection Control
  • Hazard Communication
  • US Log
  • Emergency Preparedness and Equipment Maintenance Logs
• Ensures that all AAAHC guidelines for the Environment of Care standards at the clinic remain compliant. This includes annual review of the Safety Management Plan, Security Management Plan, Utilities Management Plan, Equipment Management Plan, Fire Preparedness Management Plan, Workplace Violence and Ergonomics. 
• Provides guidance and support to the COO, regarding safety improvement efforts. 
• Ensures safety and facility quality control follows local, federal, state regulations.  
• Reviews and tracks data provided within the Environment of Care program to make ongoing improvements.   
• Participates in committees as required by the CEO. This includes community involvement regarding emergency preparedness.
• Reviews and updates policies regarding Life Safety, Emergency Management and Environment of Care.    
• Participates in performance improvement and information management activities. 
• Oversees all on-site inspections, provides a report as required in follow-up to surveys, inspections and audits.

Skills and Qualifications:   

• Current Georgia State RN License (BSN preferred)
• Current BLS Certification required
• Minimum of 2-5 years of NICU, Pediatric Office or OBGYN Office experience preferred
• Demonstrate a genuine and active Christian faith, evidenced by a commitment to Biblical values, including the value of human life, sexual integrity, unity within the Body of Christ, and partnership with other believers in Christ-centered ministry.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and family-centered care skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Salary & Benefit Information:  

Compensation will be based on experience and skill set. GWG participates in a QSEHRA plan providing nontaxable funds in the amount of $250/mo towards medical expenses. GWG provides a competitive PTO schedule.
