Regent University's College of Arts & Sciences is seeking a faculty member in Christian ministry. The successful candidate will teach in the Christian Ministry department. This will be a residential position located on the Virginia Beach, Virginia, campus.

Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA 

Regent University is one of the nation's leading academic centers for Christian thought and action, offering over 150 associate, bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees and enrolling more than 13,000 students worldwide. Regent offers high-quality, in-demand and affordable degree programs while remaining committed to its foundational mission to educate Christian leaders to change the world.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a PhD in Practical Theology or an equivalent that filters well into Christian ministry. The successful candidate will also have extensive ministry experience in pastoral ministry, missions, or Christian counseling. Those who have experience with developing and teaching Christian ministry curriculum will be preferred. The successful candidate will be tasked with covering both the foundational (i.e., theoretical) and applied Christian ministry courses in the Christian Ministry major within the Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry department. Additionally, preference will be given to those with qualifications to potentially cover courses in theology. The candidate will primarily teach 15-week, on-campus courses. However, an ability to teach 8-week online courses via Canvas is expected.

Expectations include 1) a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 3) the ability to teach undergraduate-level courses; 4) facility with online instructional technology (i.e. Canvas) and in oral and written communication; and 5) eagerness to shepherd both residential and online students; 6) excitement to engage in inter-faculty collegiality in the College of Arts and Sciences; 7) a willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
