Location: GA-Atlanta

Job Title:  Board Operator (Part-Time) - Atlanta Radio

Position Overview

Cox Media Group Atlanta Radio is seeking a Part-Time Board Operator! Are you a studio pro? Do you know how to bring a live show together in real time? Do you have a vision for a creative audio experience and the technical chops to back it up? The ideal Board Operator acts like a conductor, moving sounds and audio elements in place to deliver compelling radio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operating audio controls and digital computer cart system 
  • Screening phone calls 
  • Running live and recorded talk shows, sports programming and music operations for weekend and overnight shifts
  • Maintaining transmitter status of multiple sites 
  • Coordinating newscasts 
  • Recording, playback and audio routing for remote broadcasts and network studio events
  • Running a radio control board, taking transmitter readings and other duties as assigned by supervisor 
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma/drug free/previous media experience helpful
  • Ability to take directions
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends
