The Opportunity

Lead a global coatings business and help shape where it grows. You will own the market plan, improve business results, work with customers, and lead a team. This is a strong next step for someone who wants broader commercial leadership experience.

What you will lead

You will lead Eastman's global Automotive and Decorative Coatings segments. You will set the market direction, turn it into clear plans, and help teams deliver results across regions, customers, applications, and products.

Why this role matters
  • Deliver today while building for the future. You will be responsible for one of Eastman’s core business segments (~$400M annual revenue)
  • Frame options and recommend choices. You will help decide where to compete, where to invest, and how to balance established businesses with newer growth areas.
  • Bring teams together. You will work across Sales, Product Management, Technology, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and regional teams.
  • Build broad leadership experience. The role combines business decisions, customer work, team leadership, and communication with senior leaders.
What success looks like
  • The business meets its annual sales, margin, and growth goals.
  • The team has clear priorities and acts early when results are off track.
  • Resources are balanced between protecting the core business and building new growth.
  • Growth opportunities are based on real customer needs and have clear next steps.
  • Team members build new skills and become ready for broader roles.
Who will thrive in this role

This role fits a strong commercial or business leader who has delivered results in a complex organization and is ready for a larger leadership challenge. Candidates may come from segment marketing, product management, market and product leadership, sales, pricing, or business management.

  • Strong business and financial judgment, including experience with pricing, margin, portfolio, or P&L decisions.
  • Ability to turn customer and market insights into clear choices and practical plans.
  • A track record of working across functions, regions, and leadership levels.
  • Comfort setting direction while also working through important details.
  • Good judgment, curiosity, and the ability to make decisions when the answer is not obvious.
  • A genuine interest in coaching others and building a strong team.
Experience and education
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in marketing, product management, pricing, sales, business management, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience leading people or leading a complex cross-functional team.
  • Experience working across regions and balancing near-term results with longer-term goals.
  • Knowledge of the EMN Oxo value stream or coatings markets is helpful, but not required.
Career development

This role gives the leader experience across business results, portfolio decisions, pricing, customers, innovation, and people leadership.

Eastman is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a highly engaged workforce, where everyone can contribute to their fullest potential each day.
