About the Role:

As a Ramp Agent at PDX, OR, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely handling of aircraft on the ground. Your primary focus will be on loading and unloading baggage, cargo, and mail while adhering to strict safety protocols and operational procedures. You will collaborate closely with other ground crew members and airline staff to facilitate smooth aircraft turnaround, minimizing delays and maintaining schedule integrity. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ultimately, your efforts will directly contribute to the overall passenger experience and operational success of the airline.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances and airport badges.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 70 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow strict safety protocols.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in ramp operations or a related transportation/warehousing role.
  • Familiarity with airport operations and ground support equipment.
