Hourly Pay Rate: $16.00 or more based on experience


Minimum Age: 18 years of age or older 


Availability: Requires availability to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts

This is a part-time, seasonal position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with work hours being primarily in the summer and the fall. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.


Parking Attendants are the first and last point of contact for all guests visiting Hershey's Chocolate World! This position is responsible for the safety of Chocolate World guests while entering/exiting by directing guests to the appropriate parking areas, maintaining proper flow of vehicles in and out of the parking lot, and ensuring spaces are available for guests. Parking Attendants assist with setting up parking cones and directional signage as needed. They are also responsible for processing cash transactions and providing general directions. Parking Attendants are empowered to handle numerous guest situations to ensure guest satisfaction. This position is not a valet position.


This position requires a focus on exceptional customer service and expects the individual to be approachable, courteous, knowledgeable about our products, able to clearly communicate with guests and assist them with questions, and able to provide general information to guests with a high level of professionalism. The required skills will be learned primarily through on-the-job training.


Summary of major duties:


Must demonstrate our Customer Service Pledge
Must be approachable showing that our guests are our priority
Must initiate contact with our guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile
Must be willing to listen to our guests and provide for their needs
Must provide a genuine Thank You to every guest
Greet, welcome, and provide information to customers and meeting or exceeding service standards
Listen to customers and provide information to assist them
Use basic math skills to process payment transactions
Direct traffic on Hershey's Chocolate World property during peak traffic times


Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:


Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat, rain, wind, and other inclement conditions
Must maintain a neat appearance and meet the uniform standards
Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours
Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25-50 pounds
Ability to bend, stoop, and twist
Ability to tolerate a repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and fellow coworkers and function effectively as part of a team
Cash handling skills
Must have basic math skills such as addition and subtraction
Customer service skills
Teamwork skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Minimum Education and Experience Required:


Education:  High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required 


Experience:  Parking experience is preferred but not required
