They assist nurses and physicians with patient care tasks, such as taking vital signs, preparing patient rooms, and providing comfort to children and their families. Clinical Associates play a vital role in ensuring smooth workflow and quality patient care within the hospital setting. They typically work under the supervision of registered nurses and collaborate with the broader healthcare team.

To thrive as a CHOC Clinical Associate, you need foundational knowledge in patient care, medical terminology, and basic clinical procedures, often supported by a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) credential. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and vital sign monitoring equipment is commonly required.
