CHOC Specialists is a private pediatric subspecialty group with 26 pediatric subspecialties. The group practices at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) which is a premier healthcare system based in Orange County, Calif. CHOC is exclusively committed to the health and well-being of children through clinical expertise, advocacy, outreach and research that brings advanced treatment to pediatric patients.
Pediatric Hospitalist
The CHOC Children's Specialists is seeking a per diem Pediatric Hospitalist to join our well-established team at Pomona Valley Medical Center. Candidates must have a CA Medical License and be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics. Completion of a fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine is not required. However, post-residency experience in inpatient pediatric care is preferred. We are seeking bright, independent physicians who enjoy a career in pediatric hospital medicine, resident teaching and have the desire to contribute to enhancing the quality of care for children in a community hospital setting. Hospitalists will provide weekend day coverage and night call from home.
The CHOC Children's Specialists, a private pediatric subspecialty group, is composed of more than 450 physicians and APPs and 27 pediatric subspecialties. The group practices at CHOC Children's, a premier healthcare system based in Orange County, Calif. Named one of the best children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report (2021-2022), CHOC Children's is exclusively committed to the health and well-being of children through clinical expertise, advocacy, outreach and research that brings advanced treatment to pediatric patients. Affiliated with the University of California, Irvine, CHOC's regional healthcare network includes two state-of-the-art hospitals in Orange and Mission Viejo, several primary and specialty care clinics, a pediatric residency program, and four centers of excellence - The CHOC Children's Heart, Neuroscience, Orthopaedic and Hyundai Cancer Institute. This position will be at Pomona Valley Hospital where our physicians also provide Hospitalist coverage. Pomona Valley has recently opened a new Pediatric Unit and is excited to continue to serve its community.

Shift Rate: $500 - $2900
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
