Position Overview

Join our dedicated health care team as a full-time Licensed Physical Therapist specializing in orthopedics at Motion Chiro Therapy Hospital in Columbia, Maryland. In this role, you will be pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for patients through tailored rehabilitation programs and cutting-edge therapeutic techniques. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Organization

At Motion Chiro Therapy Hospital, we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Our talented team is led by a renowned Physical Therapist and Director, ensuring that every member brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our patients. Our mission is to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services that empower our patients to regain their mobility and independence.

Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, requiring your presence at our facility as well as in-home care environments, depending on patient needs. You will work in a supportive setting that prioritizes team collaboration and open communication. Our culture encourages professional growth, and we encourage feedback and innovative ideas from every team member to continually enhance our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate orthopedic conditions and functional limitations.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans that may include modalities such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and educational resources for self-management.

  • Guide and assist patients through both active and passive therapeutic exercises, focusing on muscle re-education, mobility restoration, and activities of daily living.

  • Provide hands-on training and support for gait training, prosthetic usage, and functional training to enhance overall patient outcomes.

  • Offer education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans, home exercises, and lifestyle modifications to reinforce progress.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless communication to uphold the highest standard of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will be critical in developing tailored intervention strategies for patients ranging from young athletes to older adults requiring geriatric orthopedic care. Understanding the unique needs of each patient is essential for fostering compliance and effective rehabilitation.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

  • Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist in Maryland.

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a physical therapy setting focusing on orthopedics is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. We welcome newer graduates who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment. Previous hands-on experience with patients through internships or clinical rotations will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary between $90,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience.

  • Access to a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.

  • Generous paid time off policies, including vacation days and sick leave.

  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development are available to all team members.

  • Support through the Employee Health Assistance Fund for mental and physical wellness needs.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Motion Chiro Therapy Hospital, we believe in investing in our employees’ futures. Opportunities for advancement may include leadership roles, specialization certifications, and positions within our training and educational initiatives. You will have access to continual mentorship and professional development workshops to enhance your skill set and career trajectory.
