Job description

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive technology organization, is seeking a skilled Electronics Lab Technician. This role is responsible for modifying and testing printed circuit boards, fabricating prototype test equipment and harnesses, and troubleshooting electronic systems used in automotive power electronics development and validation.

Job Duties
  • Perform PCB modifications, component rework, soldering, and de-soldering
  • Fabricate test boxes, cable assemblies, and electrical test harnesses
  • Conduct functional acceptance testing on circuit board assemblies and power electronic units
  • Set up and operate oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies, and digital multimeters
  • Troubleshoot electronic failures, identify root causes, and document test findings
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer data sheets
  • Build equipment racks and install KVMs, PDUs, network switches, and server hardware
  • Support prototype fabrication and validation testing of high-voltage automotive power electronic components
Skills & Experience

Required

  • Hands-on electronics laboratory and hardware prototyping experience
  • Experience fabricating electrical harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Experience performing PCB rework, soldering, de-soldering, and functional testing
  • Proficiency using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and related electronic test equipment
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electronic component data sheets
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools for prototype fabrication
