The practice provides primary care services in a professional, patient-centered environment. Team members collaborate to support high-quality, efficient care and a welcoming experience for every visitor. Role Description The Medical Receptionist role at KAM PRIMARY CARE, P.C. is a full-time, on-site position located in Queens, NY. This role is responsible for greeting patients, checking them in and out, verifying insurance information, and updating patient records in the practice management system. Day-to-day tasks include scheduling and confirming appointments, answering and directing phone calls, managing voicemails, and responding to patient inquiries in a professional manner. The Medical Receptionist coordinates patient flow, prepares and organizes paperwork, and supports the clinical team by maintaining orderly front-desk operations. This role also involves handling co-pays and basic billing-related questions, protecting patient confidentiality, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in appointment scheduling and managing patient flow within a medical office setting.
  • Strong phone etiquette skills, including professional communication, call routing, and message taking.
  • Experience with receptionist duties such as greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out, and maintaining front-desk organization.
