Job description

This position will assist with the development strategies and execution of initiatives that are designed to increase the non-Chinese financial institution business. Other responsibilities include coordinating the bank-wide efforts to establish and develop the RMB Clearing Bank, carrying out BSA/KYC duties in business line units, etc.


Client Coverage/Account Management

  • Conduct sales calls/meetings with domestic and international financial institutions (except China)
  • Conduct market research to identify new customers and business opportunities
  • Actively participate in business development and community activities that promote and increase the Bank’s visibility
  • Maintain regular contact with customers and look for opportunities to deliver added value to existing customer relationships
  • Follow up with financial institutions that approach the Bank for business opportunities
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and coordinate with other departments as needed
  • Coordinate annual client relationship reviews
  • Manage accurate recordkeeping of assigned customers for up-to-date documentations
  • Monitor customer account balances on an ongoing basis

Compliance

  • Conduct annual and periodic refresh reviews on existing accounts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct monthly screening on clients and related parties
  • Report any unusual activity, pertaining to clients or potential clients, to supervisor
  • Assist BSA officer regarding tasks or matters from the compliance department

Strategic Projects

  • Develop strategies and lead the bank-wide coordination of tasks that are required to complete strategic projects
  • Develop strategies for effectively marketing strategic projects to potential clients

Bank-wide Support

  • Prepare marketing materials in accordance to the Bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and assess economic factors for market/industry trends and determine the impacts on the US and Chinese financial markets

  • At least 5 years of banking experience in trade service, treasury Services and/or corporate banking
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration required

  • Solid knowledge of correspondent banking business, marketing, product management, relationship management, US-Chinese economic and political relations required

  • Bilingual language skills in Mandarin and English is preferred
