In addition to primary cooking duties, Chinese Cooks assist with various tasks in the back of the house, including dishwashing and cleaning, to maintain a sanitary and organized kitchen environment. Its important to note that Chinese Cooks do not earn tips but are valued for their hard work, expertise, and dedication to culinary excellence.
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook Chinese menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in wok cooking, ensuring proper heat control, timing, and flavor development.
  • Ensure all dishes are cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented attractively.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and hygienic work area.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient execution of orders.
